Kadama is a platform that simplifies the process of hiring nannies, housemaids, and chauffeurs. Operating in the UAE, Kadama offers both caregivers and employers an intuitive platform to connect. The service includes features like caregiver registration, job postings, profile customization, and in-app messaging. The client emphasized creating a minimalist, functional, and well-organized platform to cater to a diverse audience in the UAE.

  • Simplicity and Intuitiveness:
    The client required a clean, minimalist design that appealed to the UAE audience while remaining highly functional.

  • Localized Preferences:
    The platform needed to accommodate cultural norms and expectations in the UAE, such as filtering by nationality, visa type, and living preferences.

  • Multi-Step User Journeys:
    Designing distinct and seamless registration flows for caregivers and employers while ensuring all features (e.g., subscription upgrades, profile edits) were easily accessible.

  • Countdown Feature:
    Adding a limited-time offer with a countdown (e.g., “50% Off Your Subscription Renewal!”) without disrupting the platform’s minimalistic design.

  • Consistency Across Devices:
    After finalizing the web version, I needed to adapt the design for mobile while maintaining elegance and usability.

    • Used yellow as an accent color to evoke warmth, trust, and optimism, aligning with caregiving services and cultural preferences in the UAE.
  2. Intuitive User Journeys

    • Created seamless, distinct registration flows for both caregivers and employers, ensuring clarity and ease of use.
    • Enabled users to edit profiles, manage subscriptions, and access features like chat and shortlisting effortlessly.
  3. Advanced Filtering and Localization

    • Integrated filters for nationality, visa type, language, and location to cater to UAE-specific needs.
    • Added Google Maps for precise address input and job location visualization.
  4. Engaging Countdown Feature

    • Designed a prominent yet minimalist countdown timer for promotional offers, blending it harmoniously with the overall design.
  5. Responsive Mobile-First Design

    • Ensured consistency and elegance across devices by optimizing for touch interactions and compact layouts, retaining the web version’s simplicity.
